About Jim’s Mobile Auto Service

Jim grew up in La Porte, Texas, a suburb of Houston located along the Ship Channel. From childhood, Jim had a strong fascination with cars (starting with Hot Wheels), and spent his formative years learning the complexities of the combustion engine. His biggest inspiration to pursue automotive technology was his grandfather, Jim, whom he was named after. Jim “Granddad” Withrow owned and operated a Texaco auto repair and service station in Houston Texas for 30 years. 

Eager to follow his grandfather’s footsteps, Jim graduated from San Jacinto Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive Technology through the Honda PACT Program. After several years of learning the ins and outs of the automotive industry and growing as a professional under the leadership of excellent master mechanics, Jim relocated to New Braunfels, Texas and started his own mobile auto service business.
